Description

This image shows a luncheon held by the Alumni Association at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, in the 1960s. Attendees can be seen sitting at a table with plates of food and glasses in front of them. President William Howard Plemmons (1955-1969) can be seen sitting in the center. The Alumni Association started in 1934 and met at least once a year during Homecoming for reunions, association business, and officer elections. Seated from right to left are Ms. Marilyn Whittington, Mr. Jim Whittington, Unknown, Ms. Elizabeth (Bebe) Plemmons, President Plemmons, Mr. F.P. Bodenheimer, Ms. Margy Bodenheimer.
