This image shows Robert Snead, vice chancellor of Development and Public Affairs at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1985-86. The vice chancellor is responsible for public relations and promotes the University. Snead served as director of the Office of Alumni Affairs from 1966-1971, as vice-chancellor of Public Affairs and Development from 1971-1989, and as assistant to the Chancellor after 1989. This image appears in the 1986 Rhododendron (p. 203).
