This image shows President William Howard Plemmons greeting guests for the President's Luncheon, held in Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) on May 25, 1958. Plemmons shakes hands with a man in the entryway of Welborn Hall. The luncheon was held before spring commencement, and included commencement guests, Appalachian State faculty and administration.
