This image shows four attendees during a Criminal Justice Education Conference sponsored by the Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in October 1972. Chancellor Herbert Walter Wey (1969-1979) can be seen standing on the left. The Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice is in the College of Arts and Sciences and offers a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, a pre-professional Legal Studies major, and a graduate program leading to Master of Arts in Political Science, Master of Public Administration, and Master of Science in Criminal Justice & Criminology degrees.
