Description

This image shows the Black Student Association's Gospel Choir practicing at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1985-86. The Black Student Association was formed in 1974 and sponsors various annual cultural events for the African-American community, including Black Heritage Week, Black History Month, and serves as a support system for African-American students. The Gospel Choir performs several concerts a year. Part of this image appears in the 1986 Rhododendron (p. 74).
