Marching Band, photo 4

This image shows the flute section of the marching band standing in uniforms on Conrad Stadium, built 1962, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in the 1960s. The Marching Band was originally started by Professor Gordon Nash in 1939 and was managed by the Department of Music. They performed routinely at parades and athletic events during the academic year.
