Description
This image shows the faculty of the Department of Counselor Education and Research in the College of Learning and Human Development at Appalachian State University (1967-current) sitting in a classroom at a round table in February 1978. The College of Learning and Human Development included programs for training primary, secondary, and special education teachers, reading specialists, media coordinators, speech pathologists, counselors, and school administrators. It became the College of Education in the early 1980s. Beginning on the left with the bearded man with glasses and wearing a vest and glasses and continuing to the right are Dr. D.T. Robinson, Dr. J.E. Harrell, Dr. F.T. Badders, Dr. J.A. Greene and Dr. R.T. Sack.
