History, retreat, 1980

This image shows the attendees of the history retreat taken by the Department of History at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in April 1980. Attendees can be seen gathered outside the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center, built 1972. The Department of History provides programs leading to a Bachelor of Arts in History, Bachelor of Science in Teaching and Social Science Education, and a non-teaching Bachelor of Science degree, and Master's in History, History Education, and Public History.
