This image shows five of the attendees of a Geology Conference held at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. Cratis Williams, dean of the Graduate School until 1975 and assistant to the Chancellor from 1975-1979, can be seen standing the center of the front row. The conference was attended by members of the Department of Geology at Appalachian State and other geologists.
