This image shows a coach showing lacrosse equipment to two students in shoulder pads in the supply room in Varsity Gymnasium, built 1968, for a course in the Department of Health, Leisure, and Exercise Science at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. The Department of Health, Leisure, and Exercise Science is located in the College of Fine and Applied Arts, and offers degrees in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Health Promotions, Physical Education and Recreation Management. The man on the right is Mr. Tony Gray, Director of Camps and Outdoor Programs.
