Geography, Yoder scholarship

This image shows Professor Julian Yoder standing with the recipient of the Yoder Geography Scholarship awarded by the Department of Geography and Community Planning at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in May 1977. The scholarship was given to a graduate student in financial need with a 3.0 GPA. The Department of Geography and Community Planning offers BA degrees in Geography and BS degrees in Community Planning, with courses in geographic techniques, quantitative methods, urban and political geography, land use, and regional planning.
