This image shows a student sitting in a lounge Plemmons Student Union, built 1967, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. He can be seen sitting on a chair listening to headphones plugged into an audio jack in the wall and looking at reading material in his lap. Plemmons Student Union originally included the campus post office, offices for student activities, recreational and lounge areas, a coffee shop, and a restaurant.
