Description

This image shows students sitting in a communication skills class in Duncan Hall, built 1965, in the College of Education at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1986-87. Empty desks are seen scattered throughout the room. The College of Education was renamed the Reich College of Education in 1985. It provides educational programs for preschool, primary, secondary, and continuing education, with specialist programs in higher education, administration, and school psychology. The College is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and the state of North Carolina. This image appears in the 1987 Rhododendron (p. 152).
