The Jesse Amos Hampton Family Photographs collection consists of photographs of several identified and unidentified persons and families taken between 1917 and 2004, mostly by Mr. Hampton. The collection also features photographs of family reunions and a few photographs of persons visiting Coney Island, Atlantic City, and Niagara Falls, and a river baptism. Jesse Amos Hampton (1886-1927) was born to Jordan and Rachel Coffey Hampton and lived in Watauga County, North Carolina. He married Vertie Harrison and had five daughters.
